Here are some things that you should know:

1) Fostoria is expecting 20,000 or more people on June 6th which is more than the population of Fostoria.

2) Parking will be a premium and be prepared to part blocks away and have to walk into the park.

3) Arriving early might seem like a good idea, but people will be sleeping in their cars so don't expect to just drive into the park.

4) Traffic will be heavy so bring lots of patience and leave pets at home as no matter where you go you will have to wait.

5) Restaurants will be packed so maybe bring a lunch with you.

6) It will be a hurry up and wait day so let's make it a wonderful experience for everybody.

7) There are many crossings that are along the route so maybe going to one of them might be a better choice is large crowds is not your thing.

Take a spin around the RailPark

Big Boy is scheduled to arrive at the Railpark approx 2:00 PM and will depart approx 2:15 PM. These time might change as rail traffic and other issues may impact the times.

The Union Pacific  Big Boy will be traveling through Fostoria.

There will be NO camping on June 5th and June 6th at the RailPark.

    Please make sure to remove your RV, camper, etc. from the Rail Park.

Big Boy will be on display from 9:00 AM till 3:00 PM at the NS Fostoria Automotive Distribution Center, 3101 North Township Road 47.

NO PUBLIC ACCESS outside of these hours. 

 The train will leave at 9:00 AM July 15th westbound but there are no plans to stop at the RailPark.

The Union Pacific Big Boy will be in Fostoria on display.

There will be NO Camping at the RailPark on July 13 or July 14th. 

   Please make sure to remove your RV, camper, etc. from the Rail Park.

What type of vehicles are allowed?

Cars, normal sized pickups, motorcyles and wheelchair accessible vans only.

No motorhomes, house trailers, camper trailers, box vans or pickups with campers

Is there designated parking?

We are working on designated parking outside of the RailPark.

What time does it arrive?

Scheduled time is 2:00 pm to 2:15 pm.

What track will it be on?

It will be on the Norfolk Southern tracks that are north of the Railpark

Where will it stop?

Big Boy will stop in front of the Railpark

Will there be handicap parking spots?

There will be but due to the number of people we are unable to guarantee handicap parking.

Are mobilty scooters allowed?

Yes but trailers to carry them are not.

Is the event free?

Yes, both events are FREE but a donation can be made to the FRPS.

Is camping allowed?

No camping June 5th or 6th and July 13th or 14th

Can I ride the train?

No, safety and railroad rules are in place and only employees can.

Can I fly my drone over the train?

Yes but you must stay at least 25 feet from the tracks at all times and fly safely.

Will there be washrooms available?

Yes, there are two washrooms and a portable toilet available.

Can I buy refreshments or food at the park?

Yes as there will be a number of food trucks there.

Can I bring my dog?

Not a good idea as it will be crowded and dogs do not do good around loud noises.
